A refracting telescope is a type of optical telescope that uses a lens as its objective. In our online store you can find a wide range of refractors with two, three or four lenses. The main advantages of this type of telescope are a wide field of view, minimal light scattering, and easy optics cleaning. Refractors are best suited for urban observations since they successfully cope with urban flare.

Refractor telescopes – simple design and steady views
Refractor telescopes have a very simple design, and because of that simplicity they have several advantages over other optical schemes. First of all, refracting telescopes are more rugged and resistant to misalignment than reflectors. The optical tube is sealed from the atmosphere, which means there are no air currents inside and, therefore, produced images are much steadier and sharper. Refractors are also very easy to clean and maintain.
If you are going to buy a refractor telescope, you should know that this optical scheme has some limitations. In some cases, these telescopes are not able to provide correct color rendition, and you might need to install a hood for protection from dew condensation.
Also, you need to know that these telescopes can be additionally equipped with a diagonal prism and, in the correct orientation, will become a wonderful device for terrestrial observations.
Buy refractor telescope in our online store and you won’t be disappointed!
